On the first day of your Northern Lights Winter Break, you’ll arrive in the charming city of Tromsø, where you’ll have time to settle into your accommodations and get a feel for the local culture.
As the evening approaches, you’ll head to the Tromsø Wilderness Centre on Kvaløya Island, where you’ll have the chance to cuddle with friendly huskies and try to spot the elusive Aurora Borealis with the help of experienced guides. To top off the night, you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner in a cozy Sami tent, surrounded by the stunning winter landscape.

Overnight in Tromso
You’ll spend the day exploring the vibrant city of Tromsø and all that it has to offer. Get ready for an exciting evening, as you embark on a dog sledding adventure in the breathtaking Tamok Valley. With the air drier and colder, the chances of seeing the Northern Lights are even higher in this area, making it the perfect place to witness the magical display of colors in the night sky. Hold on tight as your sled glides through the snow-covered landscape, surrounded by the sounds of barking huskies and the beauty of the wilderness.

On day 3, you’ll have one last opportunity to witness the awe-inspiring beauty of the northern lights. A comfortable bus will take you to one of the Aurora watching camps around Tromsø, chosen based on the best weather conditions for viewing. Once you arrive, you’ll be greeted by an English-speaking guide who will be waiting for you by the campfire. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a hot drink while you take in the stunning views of the night sky.

Yes, we welcome solo travelers on our adventure holidays. However, please be aware that there is a surcharge for single use of a room. If you are a solo traveler and are interested in one of our holidays, we recommend that you contact us to discuss any potential surcharges.
Yes, we provide all the necessary equipment for the activities included in our adventure holidays. This includes items such as skis, helmets, and other equipment, as well as any specialized gear required for a particular activity. To ensure proper fit and safety, we will need to obtain your measurements prior to your arrival. Don’t worry, this is only for your safety and comfort!
There is no guide following you on the whole holiday, except for the activities where they are needed. We book the accommodations and activities and provide a detailed itinerary booklet, but getting from place to place is on you.
The only exception is the transfers specified in the itineraries, like a cruise or a short transfer from your accommodation to the kayaking spot. That can be done with a rented car (we can recommend some agencies) or with a train (in the case of our winter train holiday).
To make all this as easy as possible, we’ll supply you with lots of helpful info in our booklet.
